Delicious Macaroni, Vermicelli, Noodles Recipe

Indians have always had a taste bud for Chinese and Italian delicacies. Although we have one of the richest food cultures in the world, now, and then we grow carvings for these foods that are delicious. Especially popular with the younger age group, these wholesome foods keep our tummies full for a long time and provide us with instant energy. Let us discuss three such foods which are of Indian origin, but are loved in all parts of the country.

Macaroni Recipe

Ingredients required: Take two cups of macaroni, two finely chopped onions, one cup of chopped capsicum, two finely chopped tomatoes, two finely chopped carrots, a pinch of hing, cooking oil, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, green chillies, garam masala powder, black pepper powder, tomato ketchup, chopped cabbage and chopped green coriander. Buy macaroni from a trusted brand and make sure it is not expired. The macaroni price for a 450gm pack is around Rs32.

Steps: Take three cups of water in a pan. Add half a teaspoon of salt and an equal quantity of oil to it. Then add the macaroni and bring it to a boil. Cook on medium-high flame until they are 90% cooked. Stir regularly.

Drain the hot water from the pan and keep the macaroni aside. Now heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan. Once it is hot, add a pinch of hing. Next, add ginger-garlic paste, chopped green chillies, and sauté for a minute. Now add finely chopped onions and cook till onions are translucent. Then add finely chopped capsicum and carrots. Carrots give a mildly sweet flavour to the dish. Stir and add salt to taste. Now add the chopped cabbage and tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy. Stir for another 3 minutes. Add the spices –tomato ketchup, red chilli powder, garam-masala powder, black pepper powder, stir and cook for 2 minutes. You can add ¼th of a teaspoon of turmeric powder if you want. Finally, add the macaroni and mix well. Add some chopped green coriander and sauté the whole mixture for about 2 minutes. Serve it hot. Macaroni pasta price varies depending on its cooking time. For example, slow-dry pasta takes a longer time to cook.

Vermicelli Recipe

Ingredients required: Take two cups of vermicelli, two finely chopped onions, a spoonful of urad dal, mustard seeds, a tablespoon of cumin seeds, two finely chopped tomatoes, two finely chopped carrots, a pinch of hing, cooking oil, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, green chillies and chopped green coriander. Buy vermicelli online from the comfort of home.

Heat a kadhai and roast the vermicelli for 3 to 4 minutes until it turns slightly golden. Keep it aside. Heat oil in the same kadhai and add urad dal, mustard and cumin seeds. Add the ginger-garlic paste and mix well. After a minute, add green chillies, curry leaves, red chilli powder and onions. Mix well. Add tomatoes to it. Now add turmeric powder and salt and sauté for a few minutes. Once the tomatoes are soft and mushy, add vegetables- chopped carrots, and stir well. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Add vermicelli and seasoning and mix well. Cook until the water is dried. Serve hot.

Noodles Recipe

Ingredients Required: A pack of noodles, two bell-peppers, a medium-sized cabbage, a carrot, garlic cloves, cooking oil, three medium-sized onions, green chillies, chopped coriander, soya sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup and green chilli sauce.

Steps to cook: Slice the onion and cabbage in a thin and long fashion. Cut the bell peppers and carrots in julienne fashion. Chop garlic cloves and green chillies into small pieces.

Now heat a kadhai and add about 4 cups of water to it. Add a tablespoon of oil and a pinch of salt to it. Add the noodle and bring it to a boil. Allow the noodles to cook until they are soft. Drain the water from the cooked noodles in a colander. Rinse the noodles in cold running water to stop the cooking process.

Heat a kadhai and pour in about three tablespoons of oil. After a minute, add the chopped garlic. Once it gets slightly burnt, add the green chillies. Now add chopped onion. Once the onion is golden brown, add the chopped cabbage and bell peppers. Give it a good mix. Now add carrots. Let it cook for about a minute until the carrots get soft. Maintain high-flame throughout the process. Now add the noodles. With this, add vinegar and soya sauce. Give the whole mixture a good stir for about 3 minutes. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Though the above foods are great for the taste buds and satisfy hunger pans, they should be consumed occasionally. They are made of refined flour, which can cause severe harm to the body.
