All the programs it offers are designed and controlled by SSI and due to the more than 50 years of on-field and scientific experience behind, they are absolutely safe. You just have to follow a few simple rules that you will learn and practice before any in water activity. In order to maximize safety, although the standards do not require it, during a Try Scuba Diving session, dive 1 on 1 which means guest divers will have their own, individual professional guide who looks after them and helps with anything may arise during the dive.
n Goa our normal location is Palolem Beach where it is easy to dive, but you have to be aware of the fact that the visibility can be limited or sometimes very poor (1-2 meters) due to silty sea beds and the several rivers in the area. Because of these Goa is a good destination for trying scuba diving for the first time, to take a certification course or to refresh your skills after a longer inactive period, but probably less attractive for certified and experienced divers or snorkelers. But no worries, we can offer day trips to Netrani Island (Karnataka) as well, where the visibility is great and the marine life is rich (see below).
The program includes a detailed briefing, a shallow water skill practice and a 30 minutes underwater tour. The whole activity takes about 3 - 4 hours to complete (depending on the number of guests). The start time depends on the tides so we can confirm it according to your required date but it is always between 8:30 and 10 am, not later.
We dive on the 1 guest - 1 instructor basis so this way it is completely safe and swimming is not a requirement. This means we will dive in rounds with you and while one person dives the next one completes the initial training. We do not use a boat for this program, we complete the entire training and dive right from the beach.
The package also includes underwater photos and a digital, personalized recognition card.

We can also make it possible for you to go and try the real beauty of Netrani Island that lies in Karnataka State, off Murudeshwar town. In fact this is the place that we can offer for already certified, experienced divers as well as snorkelers. It obviously requires some effort to get there but trust us, that is fantastic with up to 25 meters visibility and all sorts of marine life. From the area of Palolem it can be done as a day trip (not from further north) with a 6 am start
The trip includes a 2 hours car ride to Murudeshwar where you will depart the boat for a 1 hour trip to the island.
The car, unless you have your own vehicle, means a taxi. We can arrange one for you if you require. As the transportation between Goa and Murudeshwar is not included in the diving/snorkeling charges and will be shared among the passengers, we recommend to book ahead and/or keep it a bit flexible so we might be able to get more guests for the same day.
