According to Drik Panchang, this year, the best time to tie rakhi begins at 06:51 am on August 03. The thread ceremony will remain for 13 hours and 4 minutes as it ends at 07:55 pm. On the other hand, the most auspicious time for Rakhi, muhurat for Aparahan lasts for 2 hours and 33 minutes. It begins at 01:34 pm and ends at 04:08 pm.

The Pradosh time for Raksha Bandhan 2020 falls at 06:41 pm to 07:55; lasting for an hour and 14 minutes. Purnima Tithi is slated to begin on August 03 at 05:46 pm and will continue till August 03, 07:55 pm.

Raksha Bandhan 2020 Puja Vidhi:

The Raksha Bandhan puja vidhi is a ritualistic tying of the thread, which protects the person from all evils. On the day of Shravan Purnima, individuals perform a full ritualistic bath, during pratahkal, before sunrise. The ceremonial tying Rakhi is preferable done during Aparahan time. The main ritual of Raksha Bandhan 2018 involves the worship of Raksha and tying it to the wrist in the form of Raksha Potli or Raksha bundle along with chanting the Raksha Mantra.
