The Seven Wonders of the World
The seven wonders of the world are the most unique structures, which are either human-made or natural. Herodotus and Callimachus first came up with the idea of 7 wonders in the ancient world around 2200 years ago. The seven ancient wonders comprised the Great Pyramid of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Temple of Artemis, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Temple of Artemis, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes Memorial, and Lighthouse of Alexandria.
Of these wonders, only the Great Pyramid of Giza is left. The Great Pyramid of Giza has been accorded a special place apart from the seven wonders. It is the largest and oldest pyramid, which was built in 2580-2560 BC. It has been the longest human-made artifact for 3800 years. Later, many researchers and engineers came up with lists, but the whole world did not approve those lists.

Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa and French engineer Albert Caquot designed the statue. Great French sculptor Paul Landowski created it. Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida created the face. As the savior of the world, this statue symbolizes Christianity all over the world.
The Great Wall of China
China’s wall is a series of fortifications to protect against enemies from the Eurasian Steppe. It was built from the seventh century to the 16th century across the historical northern borders of ancient Chinese states and Imperial China. Rulers built it in several parts.
This wall starts from Dandong in the east and extends to Lop Lake in the west. The Wall of China extends for about 6400 km, and it is 35 feet high. This wall is made like a fort; its width is such that 10-15 people can walk comfortably on it. Clay, stone, brick, wood, and other material were mixed to construct the wall. Scientists have seen the vastness of walls even from space.
Petra
Petra is an archaeological site in the desert of South Jordan. It dates back to 300 B.C. Earlier it was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom. Al Khazneh, a 45-meter-high temple, is the center of attraction for an ornate façade. Temples and tombs have been carved into pink sandstone cliffs to give it the nickname “Rose City”. Ponds and canals are other attractions.
Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal in India is one of the seven wonders of the world for its beautiful artwork. Shah Jahan built it in 1632 as a symbol of love for his beloved wife Mumtaz. The tomb is made of white marble with a beautiful garden around it. The construction took 15 years and Shahjahan cut off the hands of all the laborers so that they cannot create such wonder anymore. Everyone marvel at the craftsmanship and artwork.
Colosseum of Rome
The Colosseum is an oval amphitheater in Rome, Italy. It was constructed between 72 AD and 80 AD. Concrete and sand were used to make the largest standing amphitheater in the world. It can accommodate 50-80 thousand people to watch cultural programs, sports, and animal fighting. The natural calamity of the earthquake devastated it a bit. Still, its vastness sprawls over 24 thousand square meters. Many engineers tried to make a shape like this, but they were unable to unravel this puzzle.
