Shri Shiv Tandav Stotram is one of the most popular hymn (mantra) of lord Shiva. When Ravana wanted to take the whole Kailash with him to his kingdom Lanka, Lord Shiva pressed whole mountain with his left thumb and Ravana got trapped under the mountain Kailasha. So, to please lord Shiva, he orated the Tandav Stotra and Shiva pleased on him. Lyrics of Tandav Stotram is as written down in Hindi and then english.
1st Slok
“जटाटवीगलज्जलप्रवाहपावितस्थलेगलेऽवलम्ब्य लम्बितां भुजङ्गतुङ्गमालिकाम् ।डमड्डमड्डमड्डमन्निनादवड्डमर्वयंचकार चण्डताण्डवं तनोतु नः शिवः शिवम् ॥१॥”

अद्भुत ब्रह्माण्ड के सारे प्राणी जिनके मन में मौजूद हैं,

जो अपनी करुणा दृष्टि से असाधारण आपदा को नियंत्रित करते हैं, जो सर्वत्र व्याप्त है,

शिव के बालों की उलझी जटाओं से हम सिद्धि की दौलत प्राप्त करें,
जिन्होंने कामदेव को अपने मस्तक पर जलने वाली अग्नि की चिनगारी से नष्ट किया था,
जो सारे देवलोकों के स्वामियों द्वारा आदरणीय हैं,

“स्पृषद्विचित्रतल्पयोर्भुजङ्गमौक्तिकस्रजोर्_गरिष्ठरत्नलोष्ठयोः सुहृद्विपक्षपक्षयोः ।तृणारविन्दचक्षुषोः प्रजामहीमहेन्द्रयोःसमप्रवृत्तिकः कदा सदाशिवं भजाम्यहम् ॥१२॥”

“कदा निलिम्पनिर्झरीनिकुञ्जकोटरे वसन्विमुक्तदुर्मतिः सदा शिरस्थमञ्जलिं वहन् ।विमुक्तलोललोचनो ललामभाललग्नकःशिवेति मन्त्रमुच्चरन्कदा सुखी भवाम्यहम् ॥१३॥”

When I can be happy, living in a cave near the celestial river Ganga,Bringing my hands clasped on my head all the time,With my impure thoughts washed away, uttering the mantra of Shiva,Devoted to the God with a glorious forehead and with vibrant eyes?
14th Slok
“इदम् हि नित्यमेवमुक्तमुत्तमोत्तमं स्तवंपठन्स्मरन्ब्रुवन्नरो विशुद्धिमेतिसंततम् ।हरे गुरौ सुभक्तिमाशु याति नान्यथा गतिंविमोहनं हि देहिनां सुशङ्करस्य चिन्तनम् ॥१४॥”
Imam hi nityameva muktamuttamottamam stavamPathansmaran bruvannaro vishuddhimeti santatamHare gurau subhaktimashu yati nanyatha gatimVimohanam hi dehinam sushankarasya chintanam
Anyone who reads, remembers and recites this stotra as stated hereIs purified forever and obtains devotion in the great Guru Shiva.For this devotion, there is no other way or refuge.Just the mere thought of Shiva removes the delusion.
