Players rejoice! After a week or so of waiting just after the conclusion of Phase 2, everything’s all set to start Phase 3 in WoW TBC.
World of Warcraft Classic TBC’s second PvP season has finally come to an end, and this has left many curious players excited about when the game’s next phase will start. Classic TBC now had two arena seasons. The first season started on June 16 and ended on September 7 of 2021. Then, the second season started a week after that, on September 16, and just concluded recently on January 10, 2022. The PvP in WOW TBC isn’t exactly the best way to farm TBC Items and TBC Classic gold, but who cares? It’s heckin’ fun! And now, everyone can rejoice as Blizzard has finally given a firm release date for the arrival Phase 3, which also means that we’ll know exactly when the Battle for Mount Hyjal and Black Temple raids will begin.
A New Quest Arrives Before TBC Phase 3:
Before you run off to do some PvP for Phase 3, don’t forget about the new quest that’s being added! What makes this quest special is that besides TBC Classic gold, it’ll give players a new Demon option to summon called the Incubus, a male counterpart to the Succubus pet. Yep, we’re getting a new Warlock pet in TBC. The Incubus has the same abilities and states as the Succubus, thereby making it more of a cosmetic TBC item option for Warlock players to choose from. The Warlock Incubus will be live on January 17, and while there are no concrete details as of yet regarding the quest itself, we expect that most Warlock players that are Level 28 or above can pick it up.
TBC Arena Season 3 Starting Date:
PvP players have been waiting for the next step ever since WoW Classic TBC Arena Season 2 ended on January 11. Thankfully, Blizzard has confirmed that players can get into the TBC Arena Season 3 since it’s now going underway. TBC Arena Season 3 has already begun on January 17, and players can now purchase Arena Season 3 gear from the vendors in Nagrand and Shattrath Arena. Meanwhile, all of the Season 2 gear will be sold at a discount from vendors in Arena 52, and players will no longer be required to have an Arena rating to purchase them. For those that missed on the Season 1 gear, do not fret, for these will also be sold by honor vendors situated in Stormwind and Orgrimmar respectively. Hopefully, these alternate gear costs will give a great resilience cushion to anyone who’s just getting started in Season 3.
Phase 3 will include the Battle for Mount Hyjal and Black Temple 25-man raids, bringing great action for PvPers and raiders alike. These highly-anticipated raids will open up for players on January 27. As these new raids come out, the raids from the previous tier, Tempest Keep and Serpentshrine Cavern, will begin dropping three class set tokens instead of two. This way, it’ll be treated as a sort of catchup mechanic for players that have alternate characters or are a bit behind the curve.
For the Battle of Mount Hyjal, players must ensure that the demon Archimonde meets his fate. There will be five raid bosses: Anetheron, Azgalor, Rage Winterchill, Kaz’rogal, and Archimonde. The required level that players must at least have is 70. For the location, it’s the Caverns of Time in Tanaris.
For the Black Temple raid, players have to defeat the Betrayer, Illidan Stormrage who is atop the Black Temple. This is a much harder raid to accomplish compared to the Battle of Mount Hyjal as it consists of nine raid bosses: Supremus, Teron Gorefiend, High Warlord Naj’entus, Mother Shahraz, Shade of Akama, Gurtogg Bloodboil, Reliquary of Souls, The Illidari Council, and of course, Illidan Stormrage. Players must be at least Level 70 to participate in this 25-man raid. For those who are willing to take on the challenge, simply head over to The Black Temple in Shadowmoon Valley.
World of Warcraft TBC Phase 3 will run from January 27 until April 15. The two raids included, the Battle for Mount Hyjal and Black Temple, will no doubt have a lot of rewards such as
TBC items and TBC Classic gold waiting for the players that decide to engage in it. If you prefer to dive into the PvP side of things, you can test your skills and climb the ranks in teams of two, three, or five to earn unique titles.
